Early June 2013
It could be interesting to write here. It was & is a direction.
Life is better. I haven't read my previous post, nor the notes & pages scattered on tables. What is relevant is now & what looks ahead. I leave any animosities behind. I'll do what I can to maintain & succor my health.
I've created a vegetable garden - raised bed (4x8'x10"H) Lots of dirt - about half organic. There's a pic... every day I worked I was better. I've met my back neighbor Domenica, Italian, early 80's, wonderful gardener. We do have a problem - the bird house guy decided to mow the front & side of his yard. The grass in back is up to the car's fenders. Yes. There is a car parked in his back yard.
Domenica & her spouse have lived in the back 2 properties many years - 30, 40? Their friends live on my side, to the east of me. Several times a week they like to bring their friends a hot meal - more often they visit. The yard next door is no longer usable, so they need to walk around the block.
I like her. There we are, standing at the back & I realize the "fencing" there, an overgrown mess of vines and weeds. A HUGE mushroom. But the fencing, was not one continuous run - I think the ivy was holding it all up. So between us, we tugged & pulled & bent & dragged & got the mess cleared. Wow! A new pathway & I got a hug.
